It is a tradegy that a pregnant women was probably murdered, but doesn't fucked up murders happen all the time? I just wonder why this paticular case gets so much attention.

the more $$$ you got the bigger it is. millions of kids are killed a year, how come Jon Benet (or however you spell it) is so popular, she was killed like 8 years ago and they still talk about it. When I was living in California there was about 3 kidnappings a week, never mad national news... but cases like the Elizibeth Smart girl do, i dunno why.

She disappered on Christmas Eve, she was 8 1/2 months pregnant, her husband acted like a jerkoff. All good sticking points for the media and public.

Yea, his dumbass sold her car like a week after she was missing... that proves he is a ass there

Worst crimes happen everywhere. My friend was shot in the head with a shotgun while being robbed for $200 made the local news for about 2 minutes. A guy kills his pregnant wife and there are major press releases covered nation wide.
I can understand why someone famous like OJ got all that coverage during his case, but I never heard of Laci Peterson before this murder.
