Scott Peterson Arrested in San Diego
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,84562,00.html
Scott Peterson Arrested in San Diego Friday, April 18, 2003 By Rita Cosby The husband of missing Laci Peterson was arrested in San Diego for the murder of his wife Friday evening, according to law enforcement sources. Sources said Scott Peterson was arrested without incident and that police were aware of Peteron?s location for the past few days. The arrest comes in the wake of two grisly discoveries last week, when the bodies of a baby boy and a pregnant woman were found in San Francisco bay. Scientists have conducted DNA tests on both of those bodies and the results are expected to be released in a news conference at 9 p.m. EDT. Law enforcement sources have told Fox News that, ever since the case first opened, they believed Peterson was responsible for the murder. They suspected him of throwing his wife's body into San Francisco Bay and securing it with concrete blocks, hooks and fishing weights. Peterson has denied any role in the murder. |
Electric chair?

that guy couldn't make himself look anymore guilty if he TRIED
I'll be interested in hearing the results of those tests for sure, seems a little too odd to be a total coincidence... |
I thought he'd have the sense to run as soon as they found the bodies.
|
ya im sure he did it! Just some of the stuff he did you dont do right after your wife has died.

it'll be interesting to see how this plays out....wonder if the public will get a TV viewing of the trial... or did they do away with that completely after the OJ mess? |

Wherther he did it or not, my question is can they PROVE it. I wonder if they can find something to connect him. I mean they've searched him multiple times and had him under the microscope all this time and he still come out on top.
|
the real question is, how many people would agree with a 'not guilty' verdict?
look at OJ, people still say he's guilty. Lets say Scott Peterson goes through the justice system and wins, i bet the ones screaming 'hang him' wouldnt believe it anyway. |
he will most likly plea guilty and avoid death

I doubt they will offer a deal... This case is wayyy to public for a plea bargain... |

They took about 100 items out of his house a few months ago and there is the possibity of matching cement to what was in his boat.

Hmmm...and what is so special about this murder?
American journalism always slays me. There are probably at least 100 hundred other murders happening daily in the states. But this murder involved a nice looking couple, so suddenly the country is in shock. Oh well, it gives CNN something new to harp on for the next few months. |
Depending on how he killed her, it is possible that she delivered/miscarried during the murder. This is most plausible if she was strangled or beaten.
Does anybody remember someone at a 7-11 type store saw a pregnant chick matching her description with an older man and forgot to call 911? If it was Laci, is the clerk an accessory? |
even if sentenced to death. in cali, you sit on death row for many many many years. there are 600 people on death row right now in the state of CA. he will die of old age before he even sees the chair.
|
Again, I repeat...who really cares. Oh that's right, in the US, all people are created equal. It just that some people's lifes (and deaths) just carry more weight then others.

What Peterson needs to do now is a really televised slow speed chase and shit so he'll get off with nothing. :1orglaugh

I had heard on one of the news shows that the babies body
had been expelled due to the effects water has on a decomposing body... I thought the word they used was something like allusion... but that googling wasn't successful... I did another quick search - turned up noting BUT... some of the items on the page were - strange to say the least... here: http://www.google.com/search?q=lacy+...UTF-8&safe=off oh and... my 2cents worth on the punishment for Scott if he should be found guily... I'd like to see them get one of those underwater clear head bubble mask thingies ... for underwater exploration... and give him 8 days worth of oxygen... and a chain/shackling him to a huge cement block ... along with a looped recording of the judges reading of the GUILTY verdict recorded and put in the underwater head mask with him so he can listen to it repeatedly for 8+ days... that recording can be interspersed with Lacy and Scott's marrige vows pulled from their wedding video - "until death do we part" and overboard and underwater naked he would go... for EIGHT LONG days and nights...... . . . and if... if he should somehow survive that 8 day ordeal - then he can go to prison... and every 90 days thereafter he should lose 8 inches worth of a limb starting with his hands... and another 8 inches every 90 days until his limbs are gone... till his torso matches the approximation of what I had heard was the condition of the torso body found... ............. no wait........ that was just a nightmare dream I woke up from... I couldn't /wouldn't be THAT cruel... would I ?? seriously though... I do think the electric chair is too easy... and I think prison life in general is too easy... bread - water and vitamins... no tv... no radio... restricted reading materials... no visitors... (depends on the crime - on whether I think these changes should be made --- but I do think prison life is tooooo cushie for many.... murders... and top of the list would be pedoes...) back to work I go... odd time of night to have a burst of (working) energy... have a great weekend... ~Bell (aka - Evelyn) . |
