mp3 car stereos

how the hell do you burn a cd to read mp3s on a car stereo.

i tried a cd with about 50 mp3s but it did'nt work.

the stereo says it can play them. any ideas?

ztik 04-18-2003 12:10 PM

what are you using to burn them? Just create a standard data cd and burn them on there, should work fine.

SetTheWorldonFire 04-18-2003 12:11 PM

Libertine 04-18-2003 12:12 PM

When you bought your car stereo, did they explicitly say it can play mp3 files?

SetTheWorldonFire 04-18-2003 12:13 PM

Should have worked fine then, I use nero and do it the same way.

Read the book that came with the cd player, it usually says if it needs to be a certain format or directory structure

Did you burn it with directories?

I just burn them straight data with no directories and works great in mine.

Yep, don't use directories. I use RecordNow and never had a problem.

Its cool being able to put close to 150 songs on one CD.
