It seems I have kidney failure.
Being treated, for various ailments, at the hospital for a while now. Last year a blood test picked up a problem with my Kidneys function. Further tests revealed the right one is fucked and the left one isn't doing so well.
Family and friends know. No treatment, unless I want to fly to India and buy a kidney or two, which at my age is a waste of money. So just in case I stop or slow down posting, you will all know. I'm off to get a sun tan in the garden. Then cooking a nice Thai Curry for lunch, from scratch. |
Not doing so well. What does that mean? How much % of functionality has it?
I am just calling a surgeon that removed a kidney to a close person 6 months ago ( for a regular exam). In previous years, were you taking care about kidneys? I mean, drinking enough water every day? |
Good luck Paul.

This doesn't sound good.
|
Sorry to hear that that must be a hard thing to deal with.
|
Wow, sorry to hear of your health issues. Hoping for the best.
|
Very sorry to hear that, Paul. I hope you can find a solution. Go easy on the chili peppers.
|
so you gonna start selling meth?
:) |
Sorry to hear about this. Hang in there.

Sucks to get old but we all do it.
Good luck and dont stop looking for out of the box options that can help. |
Sorry to hear that Paul. With some clean living, lots of vegetables, a bit of dialysis and some luck I'm sure you can be around here annoying the piss out of us for another 20 years or so ;)

Hope you get well soon Paul. This does somewhat explain your fascination with how many bathrooms mindgeek has...
|
Sucks dude, sorry to hear...
|
good luck. My father had big problems with kidneys, but with new medicines it is solved..
|
Sorry to hear Paul
You've done a lot in your life and helped a lot out in this industry Good Luck |
Get better, sending positive vibes your way!
|
Best wishes.

I cannot begin to imagine what you are going through Paul. From the bottom of my heart I wish you the very best of luck.
I am in my mid forties now, and obviously over weight. I've lost about thirty or forty pounds in the past four years, with another twenty pounds to go. I am working towards setting myself up to be healthy when I get older. I see my mother, age seventy, who can barely make up the stairs. On the other hand, I see my seventy-one year old friend Bob who bikes forty miles a day. I know which one I want to be like and I am working towards that. Good luck Paul. |
Get well and good luck man!

Sorry to hear that Paul...

And I had/have cancer, being diagnosed three years ago. And yes, kidneys are critical for cancer care and chemo. Most of the time people dont realize that chemo really fucks with your kidneys. If you dont have sufficient kidney function, there is no chemo. Kidneys are life. People think its as easy as just getting dialysis. It might be, unless you really need you kidneys for something else. Good luck Paul ! Thoughts are with you. |
Very sorry to hear this Paul :(
|
Stay strong, Paul.
|
Hey Paul, sorry to hear that buddy. Stay positive - there might be some good options out there.

Get well Paul.

This is great news congrats!
Now you know what was causing the sluggishness, foggy mind and memory issues. I don't believe "No treatment" means you can't do meds & dialysis right? What meds did they give you? When is your first dialysis? How often will you need to go in? |
Oh wow man. I'm sorry to hear about that. Hope you are able to get well.
|
Sorry to hear this.
My wife is going through the same. It is getting to where I take her to the Kidney dr sometimes twice a week. Good Luck. |
RIP Paul Markham :(

Sorry Paul. Keep enjoying life, and as PR_Glen said, fresh whole food is essential. With a blender and a juice extractor, and organic fruits & vegetables (mostly greens) you can take in essential nutrients. Also, medical cannabis oil, because why not?!

Sorry to hear this Paul...
If you want to share I'm curious to hear more about your kidney problem, is getting a new kidney the only solution. Do you know exactly why your kidneys are not doing well? What kind of treatment are you getting? Have you been suggested to avoid certain foods or drinks? I guess anything that put pressure on the kidneys will just make it worse. Enjoy the sun... |

It's good news that Paul is diagnosed. There's no hotter hell than having a serious health issue undiagnosed. Paul and I go way back on here and I've always respected him and we both do honest business. I've told him in many posts, out of care, that he's not himself lately. Nothing but love and positivity in my post to Paul :thumbsup |
All the best Paul.

I've already said where I'm coming from and Paul gets it that's all that matters. Paul was the only one to reward me for finding the prior art that broke the Acacia patent in 2003 ($500 in content). Paul left a big positive impression on me then that lasts to this day :thumbsup |
Sorry to hear this Paul, I would say get well soon but we all know life if not forever.
Sounds like your being positive, none of us know when it'll be our time. Enjoy it and make sure and visit your loved ones, get life insurance, etc. |
Get better my friend
