It's official, the GOP top brass wants Trump out. Bob Mueller was FBI director under Obama and Obama and him got along so well he extended his term to 10 years.

Bob Mueller & Comey have worked together for years.

Special council has unlimited budget and does not answer to Trump or the DOJ.

The only drawback is special council probes usually take longer to complete. The GOP likes this because they have time to complete their legislative agenda and can tell constituents that an impartial investigation is taking place.

WASHINGTON ― The FBI, with the help of the Treasury Department, the CIA and other agencies, has been examining evidence of possible contacts, money transfers and business relationships between a variety of President Trump's associates and Russian officials, sources say.

Bowing to public and Congressional pressure, Deputy U.S. Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed former FBI Director Bob Mueller on Wednesday to be a special counsel overseeing the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 campaign, Justice Department officials said.

Mueller will take command of the prosecutors and FBI agents who are working on the far reaching Russia investigation, which spans multiple FBI field offices on both coasts.

The investigation goes well beyond a possible American connection, to include how Russian intelligence services carried out the campaign of fake news and leaking hacked emails that intelligence officials say was meant to hurt Hillary Clinton and benefit Trump.

But the question of whether Trump associates colluded with Russia is consuming public interest. No evidence has surfaced publicly linking Trump himself to the Russian interference effort.

The last special counsel was Patrick Fitzgerald, who was tapped in 2003 to investigate the leaking of a CIA operative's name.

He was actually appointed and served under Bush from 2001-2008. Then finished his term with Obama.

The anonymous sources are valid, that's why multiple people have been fired, multiple investigations opened, the U.S. Treasury sharing evidence from their investigation on Trump's casino money laundering with the FBI and now a special prosecutor assigned.

So turns out this decision for a Special Council came directly from the Dept of Justice with out the Senate's or Houses blessing. Just today even after this news broke the House blocked a move by democrats to make their investigation independent.

Rod Rosenstein decided to do it and Sessions couldn't block him because he had to remove him self from anything to do with the investigation.

Rosenstein gave the white house 1 hour notice prior to going public and he reportedly made the decision to do this the day Trump fired Comey..

Guess that's what Trump gets for trying to scape goat Rosenstein on the Comey firing..

Supposedly both Trumps office and Pence's are in panic mode because they both know they are fucked.."In my capacity as acting Attorney General, I determined that it is in the public interest for me to exercise my authority and appoint a Special Counsel to assume responsibility for this matter," Rosenstein said in a statement. "My decision is not a finding that crimes have been committed or that any prosecution is warranted. I have made no such determination. What I have determined is that based upon the unique circumstances, the public interest requires me to place this investigation under the authority of a person who exercises a degree of independence from the normal chain of command."

Basically he's saying Republicans leading the House/Senate and the Executive offices are corrupted and will never opt to investigate themselves..

Well I'm mixed on the special council because it's from the justice dept. The rumors were the FBI was ready to go.. Now we get this which puts a hold on the FBI doing anything..

I'm in wait and see mode now, because with the FBI the politics were not in the way. With the justice dept I think they will go after Manafort and Flynn then push for Trump to resign or impeachment to show they did something.

After that I think they will play cover for the rest..They will drag it all out so the corrupt Republicans can finish their terms..

With the FBI they would hammer anyone who committed a crime because they are loyal to America not political parties.

I really want to hope Rosenstein isn't using this as cover for the GOP.. We will have to wait and see where his loyalty is.. With America or with the traitors.

What if Evan McMullin has more secretly recorded GOP conversation, other than the transcripts just released with Paul Ryan etc.? His recording was in July and after he started speaking out against Trump he was told to keep quiet, he refused, quit the Republican party and ran for POTUS in August.

Before that since 2013 McMullin was the GOP's senior adviser on national security issues for the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and chief policy director of the House Republican Conference, he could have a lot more dirt and drain the GOP swamp :2 cents:

There is obviously dirt on him and he's not just stepping down in the middle of his term on his own accord. Also he did everything to block investigations early on, now suddenly he's subpoenaed Comey's memos and invited Comey to talk in Congress.. That's not a very Republican thing to do..

It's obvious Chaffetz has been caught with his hand in the cookie jar and has been flipped to be the FBI's informant.. He probably had to agree to step down as part of his deal...whatever it is, he's obviously mixed up in this.. Nunes obviously is as well he stepped away from the House investigation about the same time Chaffetz announced he was leaving Congress..

The last Utah connection is Orin Hatch.. If all the heads roll that are expected to roll, they say Orin Hatch would assume to oval office.. Fucking Utah...

Last, the thing with this special counsel is they don't have to make anything public. They can hide whatever they want.. If we don't see heads starting to roll soon, it will be time to hit the streets and burn it down IMO.. This Special counsel better start producing fast...
