Luther had a stroke.....

Luther Vandross
suffered a stroke today

I have loved his music for so many years, he is my all time favorite singer. His voice is so amazing - - if I were a man and gay I would marry him.

I hope he recovers and is able to sing with his sexy, passionate, wonderful voice again....

If anyone has heard any details, please post it....none of the news shows I caught mentioned the severity of it. thanks

I knew a guy that had a stroke at about age 30 and spent the next 25 years or so drooling in his wheelchair. I'd rather be dead.

But, on the other hand, my friend's Mom had a stroke last year and is totally back to normal now. Well, as far as I can tell, anyways... point is, some people do get better after a stroke, so Hopefully Luther will be one of them.

Same here, only it was my friends father.

Stroke means different things. When its used in reference to a young person, it usually means cerebral hemorrhage. Very deadly, bad prognosis. In older people its more likely to be a clot cutting off blood supply to a small part of the brain. Very treatable these days.
