Obama?s Travel Cost Taxpayers More Than $96 Million
 

President Obama's travel expenses cost taxpayers more than $96 million during his time in office, according to a report from the watchdog group Judicial Watch.

The group obtained documents from the Secret Service and Air Force that revealed President Obama's travel over the last eight years totaled $96,938,882.51.

President Obama's trip to the Florida Everglades on Earth Day in 2015 to give a speech about global warming cost a total of $1,012,367.76. While the speech was touted as an opportunity to talk about global warming, the president used the trip to attack Republican presidential candidates.

We need to be realistic here.... No matter what we will need to have security for Trump Tower in NYC. We do the same for all presidents including Obama's home in Chicago and also Bush's home in Texas.

Trump doesn't have a small condo in Chicago, or a ranch in Texas that is easy to protect. It's painfully obvious I am not a fan of Trump, But we need to protect his home. It doesn't matter where his wife or child live; If they move to Washington DC we still have to provide protection to his home in NYC. And it's more expensive to protect a large office building than it is to protect the residence of past presidents.

Agreed. 4 weeks a year at places like Camp David or personal places like Bush or Trump had. Everything else should be for country business summits, meetings etc. I'd also ban the Presidents from doing any rallies on the country dime. If they want to do that, the parties can pay the costs to fly the President around.

Had Michelle Obama said she and their kids were going to stay in Chicago most of the year and it cost millions per month to provide extra security for them, the Republicans would have ripped Obama apart over this.
