Where does your unsubscribe link go?
 

I chastised someone for not having an unsubscribe link on their opt-in mailing.

But when they asked me where they could find a tool or simple script to record unsubscribe addresses, I didn?t know where to send them. Help?

Anyone who opts out is pure gold. Spammers know those people recieve and read their mail.

heres a novel concept, when someone asks to be removed, I remove them.

Just set up a script to add their e-mail address to a file and remove all those addy's next time you clean up your list.

Also couldn't hurt to put a banner or 2 on the remove page :Graucho

Not true. The goal of a good spammer is to have as clean a list as possible. That means getting rid of everyone who asks to be removed. If you don't remove them they complain, thus bringing more heat to the spammer and getting his operation shut down.

So, If he's not a coder, should he hire someone to write a quick script? or is there anything available?

Never unsubscribe. Means you're at home.
