PayPal Question - what's a reversal?
 

I recently purchased something for $150.

Now I have a "pending" reversal for $145...

From what I can tell, someone is refunding $145 to me? Or maybe I have the wrong end of the stick.

I've tried the Paypal help file but couldn't find a single thing. It will take weeks to get an email response...

sounds like someone is claiming some sort of fraud on your account and getting $145 out of you... do you have the cash in your account at the moment? the term 'pending' would seemingly imply that they are waiting for your account to reach that amount perhaps..?

Imagine your bent over and hog tied at the end of a long field. Some big dicked dork is running at your ass full steam. He is gunna pop your lil anal cherry any day now unless a paypal refferee steps in and declares it a foul.

But I am confused if you made a purchase, why it is happening is beyond me.

ldinternet, this could be happening due to someone trying to pull some sort of outright fraud on your account, or do you remember *receiving* $145 via Paypal at any time in the recent past..?

I have never received any money into my PayPal account. I only use it to PAY for things.

I spent $150. To me, it looks like $145 is being refunded to me.

If it was an ebay auction or something it could be that the merchandise he was going to send you got lost or destroyed or something.

It was payment for a product. I received the product with no problems. I'm using it right now with no problem.

The only thing I can think of is they were set up to manually accept payments and didn't. But that usually comes through instantly. Reversals for non acceptance happen 30 days after the purchase date.
