How do we know certain endangered animal species actually exist?
You see it all the time - Organisations raising money for 'endangered' animals on the verge of extinction... But it set me thinking... Do these animals actually exist, or is it all a scam and they pocket the money?
I mean, if its supposed to be a rare animal, then the only chances of us seeing them are on TV or in photos. Special effects are awesome and its hard to tell a CGI image these days and likewise a professional photo-shopper can put almost anything realistically into a photo...
The only exception would be zoos where you can view them in captivity, but even then, who's to say its simply not just a different animal, thats been dressed up in a costume? Its not like you get to go really close and stroke them, which is when you could check for zippers down the back and stuff...
I reckon scam artists like the WWF are pocketing thousands in this scam - What say you?
