living with a big dog >
if you haven't lived with a big dog, it's way different than living with a regular sized or small dog. everything cost more right off because the vet basically charges by the pound when they get busy with your dog. then there's the 'walking around at night' or 'home alone walking around'.
I hear guys talking about my 'buddy's, moms', aunts', neighbors' mastiff weigh 250 lbs... etc. the biggest mastiff I've ever seen in person weighted 190 lbs... that was a really big dog, no fat, and I've seen a great dane that weighed 170 lbs, but tall and thin, and under 2 years old. that dane is a big fucking dog. the lady told me he would go 200 lbs and I believer her. I have a mastiff that weighs 172 lbs, with NO fat, you can see his waist and ribs. that's a big dog, and when the fucker starts roaming around... it sound like someone is in your house. no shit... many a night I've startled away thinking someone was in the house lol! and the regular dog stuff is bigger too... stepping on your foot is a big deal, hit you with the tail is a big deal, running by you on the steps is a really big deal... killer has run by me when I was holding a camera... he brushed me as he went by, everything dropped... off to repair... I guess I'm okay with all that stuff because I'll stay with the large digs for sure :thumbsup https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t31....66&oe=59B9FA3A to this.... https://scontent.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t31....78&oe=59B7CF2C |
When I learned how much vets charge for their services, I decided not to have pets (although I love dogs). Along side with other reasons though - not having time to do daily walks and caring about hairs all over the room etc etc.
I do not spend that much on myself as how much some people pay to vets for fixing their ill pets. Rip off, imho. |

As you have mentioned i have regular sized dog but I was always wanted to have the big one. I suppose big dog is for big house not for flat, so i can not afford it. :(

Love dogs but need more attention than I can give them. That's why I have a cat
|
A friend of mine brought her great dane over and first thing that huge dog did was piss on the wall in the kitchen to mark his territory. Big dogs have a hell of a lot of piss!
@Pornlaw $5k for Parvo just sucks! Glad he made it through :thumbsup |

We got lucky and found a cancer doctor that sold us some human white cell booster called Neupogen under the counter and miraculously he recovered in a few days. If I breed him I will make the $5k back with one litter... his grandfather was a show dog. Im looking for a female now... https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Cnb-qJ-VYAA1kji.jpg |

Had a St Bernard a few years back.. he was 7 and passed away from prostate cancer :( He was over 100kg (220 lbs), not fat, but big as f*ck :)
https://scontent.fbeg5-1.fna.fbcdn.n...c9&oe=598BE17C Now we have a Rhodesian Ridgeback.. not that big, around 40kg (88lbs),but still not one of those smallest dogs... Big dogs are awesome when people realize that their heart is way bigger as they are... |

Good thing is that if you get hungry you can always slaughter it for food and eat for a month!
