No more datahosters
 

I just got an email from them saying they are closing down effective the 21st. I know some larger accounts like Choker and such use them. Should be a mad rush for people setting up new servers over the next couple of days.

We regret to inform you that Datahosters will be shutting down effective April 21, 2003.

You are receiving this email if you failed to reply to our previous email in regards to migrating your servers to
a new provider with matched pricing.

Is that true? Guess it's good I didn't get a server with them.

They host quite a few account with 10 MB and 100 MB dedicated boxes using Verio bandwidth.

Anybody else know a company that offers 10MB server for around 450 a month like datahosters?

Wow never thought that DH would close, they host pretty much dedicated servers, and Choker is one of their biggest users I think....

Sucks for the customers as well....Imagine moving 6 copies of UCJ,,,Tim will get a busy week as well:D

I had a server with them since last august, didn't have any problems whatsoever. The support was also fast and everything ran smoothly. This is also an unbiased opinion, since the company won't exist for very long, I have nothing to gain by talking good about them. lol. I find it amazing how one company can be horrible for one person, and a dream come true to others..

You cannot operate a Hosting company by giving away bandwidth at cost or below cost??.. all of the recent failed hosts tried that and now there all gone, or on their wat out. Sometimes the old phrase "You get what you pay for" actually does apply??
