Holly shit, i bet that extra HP really sets your head back? Does it void the warranty though?

Yes the extra HP is nice. Have a lot of plans for even more. With a 10 pound pulley we were getting 579 RWHP out of it but with the compression ratio of the Z06's I didn't want to chance blowing up the motor. Going to work on upgrading the internals yes.

In regards to the warranty it does void anything that would "break" from the extra HP. For example the dealer would give me a hard time if I went in with a tranny problem or blown motor because they would argue the extra HP caused the problem. On the other hand if I had an electrical problem or something they have to cover it under warranty.

I think that car is perfect for a bikini site tho... get some chicks posing on it with some margaritas hehe :thumbsup

Go with the convertible. You can add the HP to a vert more easily than you can chop the top off a Z06 (cleanly that is).

Pulled that one in high school when I worked at a gas station. We did a break stand from brand new tires to hitting on the rims, you want to talk about calling the fire department :)

ZO6 is only available in a hardtop & 6 speed and has a different engine, suspension and brakes. Also weighs 150 lbs lighter than a conv or coupe. (Thiner glass, titanium exhaust, etc etc...)

I always thought i wanted a convertable.. until the new body came out a few years ago. The lines are so much better on the coupe.. the slight curve on the top and the lines running all along the side from the nose to the rear... its amazing.. especially at night under the street lights... which is why i only wanted a black one until i saw the blue one in the dealership... i was in and out of the place in less than an hour... i decided so quick...

btw... i have been in love with yellow vettes for ever... but i just don't look good in yellow... :)

Btw.. How awesome is the sound when you are shifting from third to fourth to fifth while going up hill..... (this is for Z06 owners only) I never thought that i would really care about how fast it is.. i always loved the way they looked... but now... I don't know if im going to be able to deal without having the speed and power in the future...

I had the car at the dealer for 2 days a month ago and they gave me a loaner 03 convertable... it didnt have near the power or speed the Z06 has and not nearly the same rumble when shifting...
