I have bought several cat beds over the years.

And every time our cat at that time chooses to sleep on anything but the bed.

Mine ignores them .she prefers her own pillow somewhere on the bed

We have a few cat beds for our 2 cats to use. 1 of them is a tower that they love. For some reason they still love cardboard boxes and as soon as we get a delivery of anything, both cats are in the box playing, sleeping, etc

Our 19 year old sleeps in our bed , our 15 month old sleeps in her condo

It's not like the bastards appreciate them anyway, may as well not bother. Cats are assholes. I grew up with them because my mum loves them but not one of them has offered anything in all those years that could come close to beating what my labrador offers as a pet.

Dogs FTW. Although I spent close to $700 on beds for him over the years and the shit head just destroyed them and slept on the floor lol.

Cat LOVE Hotel.

My cats have had everything, including a 7k condo/ cat run wife had built for them.
Cat beds we have always had what was the flavour of the month, cats will like it for a week then find somewhere else.

Best thing I have got for them, is a couple of cheap warm blankets. You can put them anywhere, make a bed up and wash them when they get smelly.

Cardboard box + warm blanket, will beat any human inspired cat bed design no matter how fucking wonderful you think it maybe.

Cats don't need beds because they can sleep everywhere. And by the way, it's not a good idea to put water and food together. Cats do not associate a water with a food. They don't kill where they sleep and they don't drink where they kill. That's a simple rule - just remember it.
