Responsive admin panel of website scripts

When you use scripts like Mech Bunny, Wordpress or KVS, lets say, is it important that the admin panel is responsive or not? I know that Mech Bunny scripts are responsive, Wordpress I think it is too, and the KVS is not. Does it make a difference for anyone? I personally run everything from a desktop pc? Does this matter. How important is the responsiveness of the admin panel to you from 1 to 10?

Thanks.

For me, it's not important at all. I do all my work from a "real" computer. But I'm a dinosaur.

I think it depends on your target audience and what the script does. As far as admin areas go in adult we're all webmasters, we all have some experience with HTML, and for the most part we know what we're doing. We're working off pc's and laptops, not phones and tablets so for the most part in our industry it's not needed.

If your script is something that people check intermittently to get stats (affiliate program software, some kinda sales shit etc) then you'd want responsive as people would likely check from their phones.

If your script is targeting entry level users that want to manage text on their sites etc (simple wp, drupal, joomla type cms) then I would say you need responsive.

Why did we do a responsive admin area? It wasn't much more work at that stage, and it makes it look that much more polished.

Wordpress' admin panel is responsive and this can be probably considered the correct way of doing things as of now. Is there a place on the Net where I can get a "skeleton" code for something like this and customize it or would it be rather something that I need to create by myself from scratch?

If you want to take five to ten times longer to do anything -- use Android.
I don't think many professional webmasters do much (website) work on their smartphone.

It's not that important since most admins work with desktop pcs. It's really important with the site's tour though. :)

Some of those template sites like themeforest etc have ready-to-go admin templates

Responsive admin seems more for a webmaster trying to work from a bar.
