A drone you can sit in and pilot . Love it !

I love all this new tech stuff thats being developed. Im sure this will be way expensive but an easy way to fly without the long training time required for a helicopter.
It has so many safety backup systems it will be had to get killed flying one of these, I'm sure someone will try though :1orglaugh

Pretty sure it's no longer a drone if it carries a pilot. :error :)

yeah, they are drones as the course is set before the take off. I created a thread similar to this, itīs inc. taxi drones and other reasons for large drones to carry people to hospital in emergency situations :thumbsup

Oh, I see. So no on board piloting capabilities? That sucks.

However you're adding images they can't be seen by anyone on their phone, even when logged in, even when we request desktop mode, just so you know, it shows as one dot, all the images in all your posts its strange.

Depends how active the pilot is I'd suspect. I could see something like this being mostly automated, meaning it takes off, lands and flies at altitude via automated fight path.. However the passenger could maybe reroute to new locations mid flight.

I watched report on tommorow today how some germany company made drone which can be piloted, but only thing which i wanted to know is howmuch it cost. And price is 800k EUR, which is cheaper then helicopter , but still way to expensive for average joe.

A helicopter could stop it's engines mid flight and land safely but with a drone you are toast...Toast...

Deej 04-07-2017 05:56 PM

isnt that just a helicopter?

how is that possible ?

whole life i have been thinking helicopter is most dangerous, it stops mid-flight and boom, crash you cant even jump out as it comes down while in planes at least they can glide for some time. and you can jump with chute.

Spunky 04-07-2017 09:46 PM

Rumpster will add anti drone security to the wall

In case of motor failure, a helicopter can be landed safely in autogyro mode with a qualified pilot.

RyuLion 04-08-2017 11:43 AM

Looks cool!!

TheDynasty 04-08-2017 11:44 AM

Yup, lots of videos on youtube of engine-off helicopter landings. It's part of your ttaining as a pilot.

This drone has many built in redundancies as well as a parachute as a last resort. Im also looking for the price but so far they have not posted the final cost.

I want one really bad! However I wonder if we will see more drone accidents? Like with Pizza delivery, Amazon etc or do the drones detect each other and what about the birds????

haha, you could just imagine a couple of GFYers in drones flying in the sky :Oh crap :helpme :warning :1orglaugh

Yeah, the routeīs coordinated :thumbsup

Paul Markham 04-09-2017 01:03 AM

Pretty sure it will need a license to fly and other controls. The dangers from terrorists and nutters make it too risky.
