Has Trump's recent failures started affecting him for the better?
Bannon is now removed as we've seen but Trump has also stated Russia's ally Syria has crossed the line with their recent chemical attacks (3 in total in the last week).
“That was a horrible, horrible thing,” Mr. Trump said. “And I’ve been watching it and seeing it, and it doesn’t get any worse than that. And I have that flexibility. And it’s very very possible, and I will tell you, it’s already happened, that my attitude towards Syria and Assad have changed very much.” Trump says he's changing his attitude on Syria, Assad - live updates - CBS News Is Trump finally being forced to come to the conclusion, that Russia has nothing good to offer us and their plan has always been to try to drive wedges with us and everyone else. Maybe Trump will start to wake up.. or maybe he will go back to having 3AM twitter tantrums, only time will tell... |

I fail to understand ANYTHING Trump has done. It's almost like he does the direct opposite of what he should do.
For example, education. Trump put Betsy Dubois in charge of our Education Department? Betsy Dubois has never been to public school, and her kids have never been to public school. She knows NOTHING about public education. Based on the facts that I attended public school myself, and my kid is in high school, I am more qualified then Betsy Dubois to run the Education Department. Trump put Ben Carson in charge of Housing And Development? Huh? He is a doctor. Make him Surgeon General - that would have been perfect. But he has zero experience in housing. I just don't get this at all. His approval rating continues to drop. |
I think it has more to do with fighting between the factions within his administration. His son in law on one side and bannon on the other side

Trump was a privileged silver spoon kid and went to private schools that's all he knows. His kids did the same. He doesn't give a rats ass about public schools because that's below his stature. People like him look down on anyone who didn't come from privileged money. Betsy Devos was just a concession to the GOP to put her "somewhere" because her family gave the GOP $200 million dollars.. It's the same thing as putting Giuliani as Cyber Czar. He had to pay him back for his support, so he stuck him in an open slot that he really could care less about. |

Trump doesn't seem to be interested in anything else besides being President and playing golf. Education is something that affects 99% of all Americans- Nearly all of us have been through public school and or have kids or grand kids going through public school. This is a huge deal. It seemed to be the same thing with the healthcare bill. Trump didn't care about it and just wanted to pass a bill to make it look like he has done something. What was in the bill wasn't important at all. This is not how a President's administration runs. You cannot pick and choose which issues to give serious thought to - ALL of these issues are serious. |

PS. I was a lot more hopeful a few weeks ago, but now see it was probably just the hopium. |
To understand whether anything is making tRump for the better, we would need to know just one successful thing he has managed to do except make a fool of himself. He's like Ronald McDonald at a Ringling Bros. circus audition, completely out of his league.
