... best entertainment you can get: invite 12clicks to your house and call him a muslim ... youŽll get to see the show of your life !!

It's kinda like asking recommendations for a good car.

What kind of bucks do you want to spend?

You can spend $1,500 on an LCD or $50,000 on a CRT.

Same goes for speakers, etc.

Good point lol. Am looking around the $4000 mark.

Already have speakers that will do the job.

Take a look here www.audioreview.com and compare every brand+prices.

Personally I love Marantz, Denon and Harman Kardon, and Tannoy as speakers...

definitely get a DLP projector, i just got my first a few months ago and porn never looked so good (and big!)... your $4k price-range calls for something like the NEC HT1000, very nice unit... if your going to be using a computer (HTpc) to output all of your video (and this does offer the best picture quality) you could use something more like the NEC LT240 as well, it is more like $2.5k but will require a computer... the HT1000 does well standing on its own..

Thanks asuna and chup :) Just found the HT1000 and booked marked it. Interesting point about using the puter. Quite a saving. The HT1000 gets a great rap too.

man, head over to AVSforum and do some reading... of particular interest will be the Digital Projectors $5k & Under forum and the Home Theatre Computers forum... if you are fairly computer savvy, i'd really have to recommend you go the HTpc route... using a PC to scale your DVD media up to the native resolution of your projector will give you an image that rivals the output of very expensive standalone scaling hardware (think $10k-20k for a good scaler). i picked the LT240 just because i knew i'd be using the computer as well, it has two VGA/Component inputs so i have one coming from the HTpc and the other from my xBox's HD-output. if you need any other information about this stuff feel free to hit me up, this is my latest obsession..! http://twash.com/temp/coolio.gif

Great Idea! I run at a very high resolution so could get the clarity of the more expensive models. Hehe also have an Xbox so that sounds like a winner!

Cheers! :glugglug

yes... watching DVD's that are pre-processed and scaled through a computer to 1024 x 576 look really incredible from a digital projector, many people mistake the output for High-Definition..
