Ok guys,

I bought $25 worth of advertising from a dodgy looking popup advertiser and they sent me approximately 10 sales, then I invested $200 into advertising on sex.com and got 1... Is the sex.com traffic really this bad, or am I missing something??? :(

Comments on any other advertising companies would also be appreciated.

I think I could write a book about spending 7K a month on advertising but it is about content so probably different thread :mad:

It took them a couple of days, but I have a feeling its cause I didn't buy a large campaign, I will buy more from them at the end of the week and then I'll be able to tell you for sure.

It's not only a matter of traffic, but also a matter of product compared to traffic.

Well yes, but you would think that sex.com's keyword targeted, cpc advertising would be alot more targeted and effective then just adult targeted popups...

Advertising is key, more eyes seeing what you have to offer, more potential revenue for you to make.

All I can say is Bull Shit....You did not get 10 sign ups for $25.00 bucks worth of pop up traffic !!!! and if you did (which I doubt) then why would you be looking anyplace else for traffic??? From your post it looks like your just trying to bash on sex.com ??

Firstly, why would I be bashing sex.com if it worked?
And anyways, both the campaigns were started 2 to 3 days after the other, so I didn't know what kind of results they were going to bring.

Also, as for the 10 signups, I know they were real because I check the IP addresses of everyone referred from the popup ad guys and matched them up to 10 sales.

My US/Canadian traffic has been productive, but I also have a 'standard adult traffic' package that is mostly Asian traffic (not good).
