This dumb cat is scared of the litter box. I can pick the cat up and set him down anywhere across the house but if i try to set him down in the litter box he freaks. Any idea on how to get this cat with the program?

dunno, my cat's got the same fear of the cat bed. I got him he'd rather sleep in his cat litter than in his bed.

All of a sudden he was scared shit-less to go in his box, I took him to the vet, he had a clean bill of health.

Something must have scared him, either a big noise while he was crappen, or a change in the home.

In my case I cant remeber any noises. The only change we had was around the same time he started to be affrain of his box, we had conceived and my wife became pregnant. Actually the morning after we conceived was the first time he shit elsewhere. Very starange!!

Anyway, I solved the problem. I moved the box to a new location and he now uses it again.

Oh yea, one more thing. That was the case for me, however many cats get urine infection. If your cat has any infections causing him pain, he will be affraid of his box.
