Social media - God or bad for the industry?

I have been thinking about this a lot lately:
Is social media and bringing traffic from the social media sites good for the industry?
Is it good traffic?
Are the people on social sites our target?
What do you think?

Less time thinking. More time testing. ;-)

I've been trying it for some time and I just wanted to know the opinions of other models and industry people.

Not like it used to, but twitter and tumblr can still bring some traffic.

I rank top on G for a few, two word, porn keywords thanks to SM. Time consuming and always people competing but worth it.

everything helps if you still keep focused in your main source of traffic

for models like you and I, the social media is the most effective way to communicate to fans and followers around the world who´ve not already checked out your vids and photos. They can be part of your life & one day also share the commitment of becoming a member to your site, especially with the opportunity to be closer, with sharing higher quality photos to them.

Yes it´s good traffic & yes you should look after your social media fans :thumbsup

I think it is God because God is everything and Everything is God.

Or so they say.

Everything depends on the skills of the person using the tool.

It's a lot of time consuming but I'm not sure of the profitability.

I think it helps with exposure and getting your brand out there. It also may help potential subscribers make the decision to join if they see that your site is actively out there updating, communicating with fans, etc. It may make them feel more secure with making the purchase and may lead to them sticking around longer and coming back again in the future.
