I dont know, kinda hard to argue with. He establishes Jesus is in the line of David (already a given), and then uses the Torah AND an independent Jewish historical source to identify the race of David.

Using two undeniably credible Jewish sources to establish that the line of David is / was white. Fucking hilarious.

The only way you could argue against it is if you find opposing passages in the Torah or in Josephus works. But if you do, you open a whole new can of worms.

His whole argument hinges on that Jesus was an Essene. Which cannot be proven with the Bible or historically.

And I see no references to the Torah anywhere as back up.

Labret, I think this is the exact WRONG thing to do. The fact is, the Bible is a racist, homophobic, sexist document. It IS all the things these groups say it is, and the milquetoasts who try to pretend otherwise are the ones who are in the wrong.

You have to fight them from a humanist base, why fight bible experts with bible quotes? I prefer to use the old 'there are more Muslims than Christians' line, etc and so on, point out absurdities in the Bible and try to discredit it as a base for their reasoning.

Every bible thumping zealot is of the opinion that the good book is flawless. Point out the flaws, or illustrate the flaws in argument, and make them run in circles like idiots.

Case in point...back in the highschool my father used to call people on the left liberal assholes...sometimes he directed that towards me just because I wasn't a right wing republican.

Anyway one day I finally just told him Jesus Christ was a liberal asshole. This shocked my father...and does most "Christians" I point this out to.

Jesus didn't hang out with the pharisees and sadducees pretending to be religious...he hung out with the freaks, the whores, the thieves those who needed him.

If Jesus were to show up today on the scene the Christian right would be the first to crucify him.

I have been just being me since the day I was born and I think that if you like it, kewl , if not then ...kewl.

The point of this show , is to expose them , bring it out in the open. I like to do things on the show, that you really don't hear that often or you see them on TV and you wish you could be there to tell what you really think. I do several shows both webmasters and non- related issues, this episode is a chance to get you thinking and take a break from the computer.

Interesting that Jesus didn't share this view, and in fact Paul (who is widely credited with truly spreading Christianity) was himself Jewish until he actually decided to separate. He was Saul as a Jew, became Paul when he separated. The very notion of Christianity and the central tenets of Christianity didn't come into being until many years after Jesus died.
