Trump doesn't seem to understand the very basics of how our government works.

The TPP is a great example. This was a huge selling point during his campaign, and one of the first things he "took care of". Great. Now China is stepping in and taking our place. This is happening this week.... China and South Korea weren't even members, but they are showing up this week.

When you allow someone to frame the problem, do you actually expect they don't already have the framed answer ?

If you do not demand better from Congress and the Senate do you think better will be delivered ?

If you fail to participate at the work place you don't have a job.
Fail to participate in democracy and you will soon loose it also !

Arguing with the most vocal in your hometown or online does not do near as much good as telling your Congressman in one letter. And you don't have to tell anyone you did it.
While some think one letter has little persuasion, thousands of 'one' letters make sure they know folks are paying attention to the details of their deeds. Showing up at their town meetings shows interest even if you are not vocal.

Until recent events, nobody took any interest, which is a invite for them to do what they want and do some crafty talking to explain it away.
How else can you explain the repeal of the 'Glass-Steagall Act' that protected us from the banksters until 1999 without a bark from the public. Took them only 8 years to trash the economy again.

Sometimes the public gets what they deserve. You definitely only get what you are willing to fight for.
