AHL (AntiHotLinker) Price Drop + Leasing Option

Based on numerous requests from our potential clients to make AHL (AntiHotLinker) from http://www.antihotlinking.com/ more affordable, we have implemented two exciting updates to our pricing strategy.

1. We have reduced the price for AHL from $249.00 to only $199.00

2. We have added a leasing option. Now every webmaster, big or small, can start saving bandwidth with AHL and pay for it in 6 easy monthly installments of only $39.00 per month.

PUT A CONDOM ON YOUR BANDWIDTH - AHL (AntiHotLinker) from http://www.antihotlinking.com/ Is The Only Solution to Properly Protect Movies!

--------------------
P.S. Everyone who purchased AHL for $249.00 and wants to receive a $50 price adjustment should contact [email protected] with your account information.

Whats involved with installing and configuring it? Is it gonna take hours to do?

VeriSexy 04-14-2003 05:34 AM

You need a dedicated server and the programmer should do the rest. At least that's what he did for me.

nevermind 04-14-2003 05:56 AM

This is a joke ... didn't you just say on this recent thread that you had to raise your price because demand for your product was supposedly so high?

http://www.gofuckyourself.com/showth...ight=hotlin k

Unbelievable ...

lEricPl 04-14-2003 06:01 AM

Damn....

$200.00 for an anti hotlinking script?

This is just me but...

Http Handler or Module = 15 min to build.

Session Variable setting & configuration with a login script = 15 min.

I need to start selling this shit...

x3m 04-14-2003 06:06 AM

nevermind, YOU are unbelievable! There wasn't many people who complained about high prices, but there was a few, including you who were! We listened to all the request and decided to discount it even though all BIG customers that we get every day say that AHL is worth a lot more than $250.

We did this price drop for YOU and people like you and you're still complaining???

I'm not complaining because I would NEVER pay for this inferior product.

I said the price was high considering that my hosting company offers the same service -- although much more effectively --- FOR FREE

And I think it's funny that on the last thread you claimed demand was so high you had to raise prices ...

Now, just a few days later, you're lowering the price ...

Madball 04-14-2003 06:19 AM

You know what you should raise the price to $499 so all these dumbasses above are shut out from using it, period.

Yeah, that will REALLY get more clients!

Good thinking!

:thumbsup

I'm going to follow that marketing plan...

My hourly rate is now $185 an hour.

ICQ me now!

Did it work?

you can't please everyone

I have heard a lot of positive threads about AHL, which carries a lot more weight than some bitching and moaning from guys I never heard of.

If it is so fucking easy to do, how come nobody else ever sold it? Movie files have been a lubed ass waiting for protection for a long time, yet this is the first program I have seen commercially available to protect movies from hotlinking. If you can code it, code it, and then sell it, or shut the fuck up. This is like all the coding guru's who rip on Brownie and UCJ, but would kill to have the customer base of either script.

We have AHL and its working great!
Couldn't recommend it highly enough!!!!

ServerGenius 04-14-2003 07:49 AM

Are you sure that you didn't lower the price because a simple
i-frame tag makes your program kinda useless?

Is that fixed now b.t.w.?

BRISK, installation and configuration is pretty easy and you can do it yourself if you ever edited httpd.conf and restarted Apache. It should take you 5-15 minutes to do it, depending on the number of domains you want to protect.

If you want us to install it, we will be happy to do it for you. Please email us with your Ref Number from the invoice and we will schedule the installation. We complete all installations on "first-come-first-served" basis within 24 hours from receiving your request.

You probably missed my response on this issue in the other thread. http://bbs.gofuckyourself.net/showth...47#post1597547

I didn't miss that one......you say:

Quote:

The method you're describing in such details is indeed something that can be done
and then you follow with some long text that doesn't make a lot
of sense. Hotlinking webmasters already understand how it works
and what people use to try an protect their movies.

So in the new versions you can block referrer which is also
extremely simple to fake.

ServerGenius 04-14-2003 08:27 AM

By the way, I'm not trying to bash your product....I DO see the
value and I know it will stop/slow a lot of it.....I just try to point
out that it's not flawless (yet) and try to motivate to keep
improving your product.

DynaMite :thumbsup

x3m 04-14-2003 09:54 AM

DynaMite, as I said before, I don't see it as a big issue and it can be easily detected and dealt with.

Anyway, I appreciate any input that we get from our clients with suggestions to improve our product. :)

x3m 04-15-2003 02:34 AM

Madball, Steve and Ross, thanks for your support! :thumbsup

Even if you sell it for $19.95 some guys here will still say it's too damn expensive.

funkmaster 04-15-2003 02:44 AM

... I bought it and will sell sublicenses for $5.95 ... <a href="http://www.isellwarez.com/">free download here</a> !!

Time stamped urls, which do the same job only better, have been around for a long time. Most major adult sites have been using it for years to prevent hotlinking.

Now some hosting companies like xxxwebhosting offer it in their standard packages, even for cheap virtual hosting accounts.

x3m 04-15-2003 12:40 PM

Nevermind, please stop making a complete fool out of yourself trying to bash our product.

I just asked my tech to verify the information about alleged hotlink protection on xxxwebhosting.com Here is the ICQ of this conversation:

-------------------------

zuk (9:52 PM) :
I was told you have a hotlinking protection for movies with your hosting plans. Can you tell me if it is so and how does it work?

Mr Reliablehosting (9:54 PM) :
yes we do, we have a special method we use

zuk (10:00 PM) :
does it protect a Right Click + Save Target As or it only protects Left Click?

Mr Reliablehosting (10:02 PM) :
well I have a few solutions... secure wms which is streaming on the unix solution.. you can save it local.. there really is no
solution that will prevent it, you can do streaming for that but
movie posts don't like it

zuk (10:04 PM) :
so, you can only protect streaming but not the downloadable galleries? i want surfers to either left click to play it or save movies if they want to - but i need to make sure that if they post links to my movies on hotlinking forum, people would not be able to Right Click + Save Target As

Mr Reliablehosting (10:09 PM) :
no, thats not possible you can't have a system "know" who is ok to download and who is not[/b]

zuk (10:10 PM) :
ok - thanks for your time - i will look some place else

Mr Reliablehosting (10:13 PM) :
your're not getting it.. there is no way to do what you want

-------------------------

AHL knows who is OK to download and who is not! :)

P.S. Our tech's conversation was not intended to bash good people of xxxwebhosting.com They have been around for ages and are pretty solid as far as we know.
