The 'hack'; system, cam and mic is a RAT (remote access tool) installed as an app.

You need system and device sub system permissions.

Hopefully Skype and whatsapp are not working with the CIA -- or we are all compromised.

People have been highjacking device cameras/microphones for years and Russia's been doing ransomewhere for years based on captured content.

It didn't begin with the CIA

how their agency may have access to your device?

- what the special hardware in those phones that enable cia to hack/spy on you ?

- an close attacker with wifi protocol knowledge can break into your network . he don't need to work with cia , it's hard for cia to work in every location.

I can't wait until there in a native LINUX SE mobile and tab.
This Apple/Google shit is too easy to hack.

Will be nice to have more secure options but no government truly wants that
