Hillary needs some kind of position of power to make good on the political favors for all the Clinton Foundation donations they received. At this point all she has left for that is running for governor of a state or mayor of a major city.

Don't rule out her running for Gov. of Illinois. That is her place of birth, they currently have a Republican governor and Illinois is rich enough in corruption for her to make good on the "Clinton cash" favors. Though NYC mayor is probably more of a sure bet for her.
