Awww... that face.. with the grey mask and the grey on the chin looks alot like my cat that died in January (at 19 years of age). Only dif... Princess had a grey nose. We always said she got it from playing in the fireplace ashes.

Cutie

Cute. Great eyes.

Kitten ears are just tiny little flaps. It takes some time for them to grow in proportion with their head. Same with their tails.

Spunky 04-13-2003 10:59 PM

heh heh lil kittens :)

RSCLuke 04-13-2003 11:01 PM

Love the blue eyes :)

Warden 04-13-2003 11:04 PM

Damn cute! Too bad I am allergic to cats otherwise after seeing that pic, I would run out and get one. Till it grew up and I got bored of it, then I would bring it back to the shelter and go get another kitten!

Chill out animal freaks, I'm only kidding. :winkwink:

cherrylula 04-13-2003 11:19 PM

Kittens are like the cutest thing ever, if only they stayed that size. I would own a good dozen... otherwise I am semi allergic but my one female cat still bosses me around 24/7 hehe

I let her have one litter of kitties, six years ago now, but it was so much fun. She had five babies and as they grew up they eventually figured out how to follow me around the entire house all day long. It was like having a pack of furry wild things at my ankles non-stop. Got them all good homes by about 12 weeks old.

She gave birth under my computer desk, same place she likes to sleep til this day.

I only have the one cat who follows me around, but she's like a herd of furry wild things all by herself. She sleeps in my old sewing basket under my desk, too. Gonna move the desk into my bedroom this weekend, and the basket goes too, I suppose...

I did that.. but kept 4 of the 6. They're 4 years old now. I can still go to the kitchen and call "dinner dinner" and they come running like a thundering herd from all directions. Just like they all did as kittens.

Warden 04-13-2003 11:29 PM

I think it was somewhere on GFY that I read the advice to NEVER date a woman that has more than 2 cats. I don't know how this applies, other than a random thought.

DarkJedi 04-13-2003 11:32 PM

haha and I love that. Its so fun to spoil them. If I didn't have allergies I would have more.

Even before I wake up, my cat is sitting on the dresser staring at me. Waiting for me to wake up. As soon as I step out of bed she is at my heels and makes these really weird pigeon purr sounding noises until I feed her.

I rarely put the coffee on before I fill her bowl with friskies tender cuts. Otherwise she turns into a complete neurotic popple like thing, and will complain all day, non-stop. Its best to do what she says.

hottoddy 04-13-2003 11:54 PM

Another amazing thing about kittens is the size of their poop. I swear it seems like half their body size. When they grow up, the size stays about the same. They must be all digestive track inside as kittens.

Nina 04-14-2003 12:06 AM

too cute. I just can't take it... I love kittens. I know when I get old I'm going to be a crazy cat lady... every neighborhood has one.

DarkJedi 04-14-2003 12:14 AM

don't feed your cats the cat food. it has some kind drugs in it and then cats dont eat anything exept that cat food.

feed them whatever you eat.

Triple 6 04-14-2003 12:16 AM

my wifes mom has like 13 cats in a two bedroom apartment. I hate cat lovers that take shit too far. Fucking sick.

Kittens are very cute, no doubt, but the cutest thing is a Beagle puppy. No competition :)

Man, they are so adorable. They are 50x times more adorable when you're holding one. When they're really young, their ears are like three inches longer than their bodies are tall.

Are those puppies mixed? Their shape doesn't look quite pure, but they sure are cute :thumbsup

I don't dispute that kittens are cute :) I have never seen anything even in the same cuteness universe as a Beagle puppy, though. The stubby little legs, the big floppy ears and that puppy curiousity are a potent combination.

haha..not in my house.

Just about anyone that walks in here asks me how many cats, then how many litter boxes and where they hell are they cause they can't smell anything. If they have cats themselves they wanna know what I do. Years of having cats and you learn the tricks.

I'm only playing. To this day I can go to my mothers house and not only can you tell she has cats, you would think they were all males in heat. It never used to be like that but my mother replaced me and my siblings with a feline when we moved out one by one. Thank god I was the first one to move out:winkwink:

I have melted like butter. I want to adopt every critter in the previous photos. Dang.

I used to live on the "country" edge of town...every stray that got dumped in the area showed up on my doorstep, and yeah, I took them all in. Now we're down to two cats and two dogs. I could happily go back to taking them all in...the time will come...sigh...

jimmyf 04-14-2003 04:28 AM

I had 3 cats for over 15 years, Daisy, Fred and Arlo.

Just over a year ago this girl up the road moved out, and left her cat behind, although I didn't know this until I saw the cat sitting in front of the empty house one time. It would have been nearly a week by then, and she was looking VERY scrawny. I started feeding her immediately, and then realised she was pregnant...

To cut a long story short, she got better and had her kittens. I ended up looking after them back at my place as they were fixing up the house. The kittens were a little sick when young but they recovered quickly.

To this day I am still fucking pissed that someone can abandon a pregnant cat they they are supposed to be responsible for.

Here's the kids - ginger, juju, kiss and stripey.

Actually, you can do this, with a little more work.

Its called being a foster parent. When a cat comes into a shelter pregnant, they do everything they can to get the cat adopted. If the cant cant be adopted, they send the cat to a foster home, to have its kittens, and they wait until the kittens are 6 weeks old and weight enough to get the spaying or neutering surgury (I think its 2.5 lbs at my local shelter) then ya give them back.
