i know at times i am totally co dependent on my work and not in the sense that it brings this immense joy but just knowing that something is there...like a puupy for lack of better phrasing. |
Actually, I think that internet work is different than actual work.
And if that point can be agreed on, then I would be inclined to agree that codependancy is possible and very easy to succumb to when it comes to "working" online. The computer and all of it's monetary goodness is a great tool for abondoning self-awareness and losing your identity for little chunks of time. Think about it... It's a tad bit harder to remember things now than it used to be, is'nt it? You are slipping away. |
im dependant in terms of money, yes. without these sites i wouldn't have any money to pay my rent and would have to get a 'real' job. as for other ways, i find when im stressing over personal problems, relationship problems that i can't concentrate worth a fuck and not much gets done.

i think co dependency (at least pertaining to work) is a fine line that is often crossed without knowledge. it's not like drugs, where one wakes up one morning and says what am i doing. being co dependent on ones work is never realized until sometime after (i am speaking personally...not for others). those who seperate the two have it made but then again, those people may be co dependent on something else. just my :2 cents: |
