There used to be a rule regarding the thread prefixes
 

And if it was marked Business it was against the rules to come in and fuck around.

I can no longer find the prefix rules thread so apparently those rules are no longer in effect and the business prefix no longer means anything.

I had tried, yesterday and today, to do 2 things.

1. Start a couple of bs threads that were not Trump related so folks could fuck around without having to hear the political bullshit and the insults about their particular political leanings. That actually worked pretty well and I had 2 or 3 threads that stayed at the top for a couple of hours and the political only posters stayed away. It was actually fun for a bit even if Natalie had to take a bit of shit in the process.

2. I started a business thread about Natalie's site and promised in the first thread that it would not be a bash Natalie thread. That worked for a while and there are actually some well thought out business oriented posts in there. Then the assholes had to start their shit.

I give up. The rules don't get enforced. The board tone is over all negative as hell. I am too old to dwell on negativity all day, it actually causes physical harm imho.

I will go back to keeping quiet and just helping folks where I can, when I can.

Sarettah I post 90% of the time from my phone and the mobile version of GFY doesn't show the thread prefixes. Had I been on my computer and seen your business prefix I would respect that it was business labeled thread.

No way, whether we´ve been 10/10 on our relationship here or occasionally rubbing each other the wrong way, you´re a great asset to GFY & as you can see from my sig, the rules do apply & the rules do get respected.

as to the biz thread about Nat's site, I think it's wicked. I see from the quotes in replies that a small handful of idiots have posted their typical crap, but so the fuck what? report and hopefully they get banned but if not ignore them. to me neither clips nor dv exist beyond the occasional quote here and there, and it's hella easy to just skip over quotes.

your thread is a perfect example of self-moderation. most peeps posting there ignored the plankton and some great ideas have been shared. despite the idiots with no skin in the game who aren't evolved enough to interact with peeps in any useful way.

they only have as much power as they are given-by us. we have the ignore function and the chrome extension and the ability not to reply to or quote idiots in actual business threads.

I am not pretending anything. I recall a prefix rule thread that was below the regular rules for a while but is no longer there. Did I imagine it? Perhaps.

But I also found reference to it in another thread from back in 2010.

If there ever was a rule, I think that went out the window when they created a business sub forum.

Seems a small issue now that the board's being attacked by fake nics Relic / JohnnyClips / JoshuaG , but its still important IMO to respect threads created with specific prefixes, and keep business threads serious and respectful :thumbsup

I would trade candyflip, JohnnyClips, Smack dat, and possibly relic for another sarettah with mod status. :2 cents:
