Build your own home for 10 grand!

Oh my, this is one piece of technology that could help so many people from all around the world.

A 3d printer, large enough to build houses & each time it costs about 10k. Obviously youīd need to buy the land first, but this is an amazing piece of equipment :thumbsup

Would you live in a 3d printed home?

well, not exactly old, was only discovered 5 days ago & that other post, of which I honestly hadnīt seen was only 2 days ago...

however, past is past. Guilty for providing old news :helpme :1orglaugh

What did you think about it anyway?

What is included in 10k? Only materials? No labor cost? No printing rental cost? Add that and it goes above simple wooden frame house that could be built for similar amount.
That is nothing better in terms of new affordability.
Now if 10K was the final price customer would pay, would be another story.

It seems like you even did not understand my question as you clearly do not know what you mean by "its costs over 10k to build"...

omg, ok, iīll say it another way, with all costs inc. the machine, the manufacturing & the materials, labour, the lot, it costs about or just over 10k to build :thumbsup

And where do you get this idea that the machine (aka price for renting this machine) is included in the price?
Where do you get the idea labor is included? And how much did they calculate it for?

You are just guessing and you are guessing for less plausible option. More plausible is that estimated machine renting costs are surely not included in that 10K.

Not only I watched it, I also read couple articles and there is absolutely NOTHING in the video that even hints the answer to my question, let alone answers it.
That is why I said that you did not even understand my question (which is absolutely simple, but you still managed not to understand...)

OMG, I understand you, but youīre not understanding the logic in a simple video and statement...

23 seconds, it states the building cost just over $10000 to build. are you saying the video are hiding costs?

stop your negative thinking! When someone says the building cost just over 10k itīs because the cost of everything was just over 10k.

I really never understand people that want to think negative or that thereīs some scam involved. Itīs a really cool piece of technology...

enjoy it :thumbsup

brassmonkey 03-08-2017 09:52 PM

you ok??? plus material. please get rid of the sig

Barry-xlovecam 03-08-2017 11:26 PM

Build house printer $10 million
Print house shell $10K

brandonstills 03-08-2017 11:26 PM

Seems like it should be much cheaper. I built a 2 story building with 4 rooms in a warehouse for $3800. Of course it took 2 months, I did the labor myself, and it wasn't exactly to code.

Barry-xlovecam 03-09-2017 10:45 AM

That is not a house that is a cement polymer small shack. Maybe houses in the developing world. If you could stack them into multi tenant dwellings perhaps. A building lot costs $30K up in suburban America.
I think it is a good idea for non residential structures built in situ - competitive with concrete tilt up factories and warehouses. Even for the construction of river and coastal barges.
