?What right does the United States have to inquire about somebody?s religion when they enter the country?? Mancini said. ?This is an instance where the ban has been enforced even though it has been thrown out. The government is still trying to find grounds to keep Muslims out.?

Muhammad Ali Jr., 44, was returning to the U.S. from Jamaica with his mother, Khalilah Camacho-Ali, when customs pulled them aside at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on Feb. 7 for questioning, Chris Mancini, a family friend and lawyer, told the Courier-Journal Friday.

Customs officials let Camacho-Ali proceed once she produced a photo of herself with her former husband Muhammad Ali, but since Ali Jr. did not have such a photo, they detained him for almost two hours. During his detention, he says officials asked him questions like ?Where did you get your name from?? and ?Are you Muslim??

Ali Jr., who like his late father is Muslim, is an American citizen with no criminal record. He was carrying a U.S. passport with him at the time of his detention.

?This is an outrage,? said Mancini, who is a former federal prosecutor. ?I don?t know what is going on with Mr. Trump?s claim that his ban is not religion-based. We do not discriminate in this country based on religion.?

Hitjob pieces come out on Thursday night's so they hit hard on Friday with enough energy to have legs for the weekend.

The legitimacy of this story is strengthened by the fact that he didn't goto the media weeks ago, he dealt with it like a normal person, telling his family, going to his lawyer, etc.

If this was a hit piece he and his family would have been on every media outlet immediately, or the Friday after it happened, not having it leaked out weeks later via a trlevised conversation his sister was having :2 cents:

This story is a party twice removed going to the media WEEKS after the alleged event.... with nothing whatsoever to corroborate it... yet its being reported as 100% fact.

It has nothing to do with Trump. Or Democrats. Or Republicans.

Again, i was commenting on the state of the media today and what passes for "news" when its not actual journalism but simple click bait. Unsubstantiated, unproven, unsupported hearsay BEING STATED AS FACT... then being repeated and reported as "fact" when its absolutely not fact. Not using common language of the past such as "allegedly", not "according to witnesses", not "purportedly", not "in my opinion", not "unconfirmed" and no "Homeland Security officials did not comment on..." etc etc etc etc etc as has always been how such news is reported in the past.
