Imagine that..Another Bush era failure.. Corn Subsidies
 

One of the ticking time bombs from the Bush era has finally came back to roost and now all those corn farmers are crying again. I remember when people were fighting this because it was gonna be an obvious bad thing down the road.

In 2005 the Bush admin pushed a mandate to use corn ethanol in gasoline. He even subsidized corn farming to push this. Farmers all over the country rushed to switch and stopped growing actual food supply crops to instead grow corn for ethanol..

Now all that rush to grab a short term quick buck is putting those very same farmers into bankruptcy because the corn market has now collapsed due to world wide over production..

It sucks but they need to pay attention to what the rest of the country/world is producing and in what amounts, which will drive the price per bushel

Soybeans still look good and the lower corn prices are good for those who have livestock to feed

Bush made bigger mistakes than that. Bill made some bigger ones than corn subsidies.
