All this government investigation into porn...new laws...federal agents raiding a video producer...

I was born in this country, in a small conservative city in one of the most conservative states you can find, Indiana. Growing up, adult magazines and videos were easily accessible, especially when we all reached college age. All the video stores, even in super conservative Indiana farm towns, carry raunchy xxx videos. It's just a fact of life. It's entertainment...there's nothing wrong with enjoying this stuff in the privacy of your own home. Even my wife likes a good porn video...it puts her in the mood.

So who are these Americans that want our government to step in and outlaw the stuff? Why are we giving so much power to this minority? Our industry has money...why isn't our lobby being heard in Washington?

I find that the most Conservative and religoius Parts of Maryland and Pennsylvania Have the Small XXX stores that carry some of the Dirtiest shit i have ever seen and in the big cities you dont see it so much if a store does have it they have a limited selection and what not ... Just some INput ...

Like Drive up Route 40 in maryland throught baltimore and harford and Cecil Counties and you are gareenteed to see at least 20 XXX stores ... Makes you wonder how clean them viewing booths are up there eh:Graucho

Well better to be depressed here and face the reality that there are organized groups out there that have made it their mission to destroy our industry anyway they can, than from a jail cell for the next 20 years.

Its always amazed me how many people jump into the adult industry and think they can just do whatever they want and claim ignorance of the law as their excuse. Many don't even bother to research all the potential liabilities they are getting into, nor the legal requirements.

It's not the existing laws that bother me so much, although a clear definition of obscenity would be nice.

It's the new laws they are trying to pass that are scary. And the ones that may come in the future.

And don't forget even the king of adult Hugh Hefner got arrested early on for obscenity when he started publishing Playboy Magazine. If it could happen to Hef it could happen to anyone.

I can't believe I haven't gotten any gay sex offers to cheer me up. Can't you guys take a hint? "I'm depressed" is gay GFY slang. This isn't the GFY I know and love.
