Hardly a convincing polling method. Lazy reporting to not mention the tiny sample size of 617 people conducted via robo calls to land lines only. Not at all representative, and ignored in exchange for a sensational headline.

His approval rating went down even further this weekend. My god.

Of course, the headline is misleading. The story says: "A new poll from Emerson College finds 90 percent of Republicans believe that the Trump administration is ?truthful? ? while less than 10 percent say the same about the news media."

A little further down it says: "By contrast, 77 percent of Democrats believe the Trump White House is ?untruthful,? while 69 percent think the news media generally tells the truth. Independents tend to think they?re all a bunch of liars, with 52 percent calling the administration untruthful and 47 percent calling the media the same."

The title of this thread should have been: Trump More Widely Trusted Than News Media by Republicans.

As for presidential polls - they were inside the margin of error.

And when most people say they don't believe polls they usually say they could be wrong by FEW POINTS at most. Nobody is saying that they are completely off.

His numbers only show him as being more trusted when all numbers are combined because the Republican number is so high. 90% of Republicans say he is trustworthy while only 23% of Democrats and 48% of Independents do. The poll even says it itself where it talks about how his low standings with independents is dragging his numbers down.
