Surfer submitted pictures
I have a site which gets quite a few personal pictures submitted by surfers. Now, I thought I might do something cool with them - set up a contest where people can send in pictures, they get posted and the surfers can then vote for their favorites. The winner gets a cash prize every month.
However, this would be a nightmare from a legal standpoint. So, if I require people to send along a copy of their driver's license + a signed release, would that be enough to cover my ass? |
Anyone have any experience with this?

I would think it would. But I don't really know for sure.
Someone here should know. Oz |
I also think it would be enough. Or you need to ask them for 2 IDs. That would surelly be enough. But I hardly doubt anyone will be willing to send you any IDs... It looks like a hassle to most of ordinary people...

Isn't the "standard" for web adult verification a credit card?
wouldn't the fact that they are a memeber of your site, and they have passed the credit card standard clear you? Obviously you would have to look at the pictures and pull anyone that tossed up a questionable pic. You can also state that any CP pics posted will be sent to the authorites with the member info attached. |
