i've seen it written as both dwarfs which doesn't souond right and dwarves which sounds better..

It's actually dwarves - not that it matters really in this industry. Folks here seem to throw spelling comprehension out of the window. Besides, there's a lot of money to be made from typos or other people who can't spell.
