my airport base station has been giving me intermittent problems. no wireless for the past hour or so - i got pissed and punched it. bingo, works fine.

Good to see there are some other mac people around here. Yeah there's nothing like a good beating when all else fails to get your stuff running right. I used to beat the hell out of one of my Apple monitors until the color worked right.

Back in the dark ages when I helped admin a network of BBC model B computers (6502 1MHz 32k RAM if you've never heard of them), they would sometimes just beep continuously on startup. Solution - a good whack to the top of the case. It helped to reseat the chips and make a better socket connection. :glugglug
