PR question
Is it possible to gain serious PR without using linkbacks?
I mean say i hire some skilled SEO to optimize a page. Are linkbacks always required? Thank you. |

I notice i have a PR4 on one site, and im on page 7 of a super popular keyword, is that even worth anything? I notice my stats show hits from google, but is that mean my site was shown as a result? or someone actually clicked it?
Thank you. |
pr is not all that anymore
it was last year but not anymore |
Thought this was PR as in Public Relations at first. You'd need one hell of a guru to fix your image around here, a simple nick-change isn't gonna help much :)

It is important, I don't see google dropping PR any time soon, but they are clearly tweeking the algo to defeat various forms of link spam. I betcha they are starting to use google toolbar data. Actual surfer activity is right in line with google philosophy of "people voting for sites." Still, a few good links is the quickest way to decent rankings. If you're shooting for high competition keywords I'd say it's almost required. |
