nope. this is trumps pych ops on his opponents in the press.

he knows the press he has to work with despises him, doesnt respect him. He fights back, by feeding his opponents obvious nonsense. he feeds these ludicrous lies as a slap in the face to the people who are covering him.

but it gets what trump wants. his opponents behaving hysterical, talking about him, over-reacting.
