    South Dakota GOP making SD great again

    South Dakota voters voted in favor of a anti-corruption law. This was a bill highly supported by voters, but the GOP ain't having none of that shit, they used the inauguration as cover to declare a "state of emergency" to enact emergency powers to repel the bill in a way votes have no ability to challenge it..

    South Dakota lawmakers use fake state of emergency to gut Anti-Corruption Act


    I'm sure this is 100% A Ok by BadDog, Robbie, Vendillza, JoushaMo & co..

    For the rest of us whom actually support Democracy, a basic run down of the bill the voters passed


    Stops secret, unlimited gifts from lobbyists to politicians.

    Requires more transparency, so we know who’s buying influence.

    Creates an independent ethics commission

    Allows ordinary South Dakotans to make their voices heard instead of politicians only listening to big donors


    But No say the GOP we can't have that anti corruption liberal shit!

                  This bill was not aimed at Republican or Democrat, it was aimed at elected govt officials. ONLY REPUBLICANS voted to repel it.

When a law is passed making it illegal, the courts can step in and look into it to see if that law is discriminating against a group of people. If they find that it does they can rule that the law is removed/repealed.

                                                                                  In ND the people voted to enact things that would keep elected officials from being able to do shady things behind the scenes then those elected officials waited until nobody was looking and voted to overturn it so they can continue doing these shady things.

                                                                                      They didn't just wait till no one was looking, they declared a state of emergency to enable them to use special rules designed for times of crisis. These guys should be impeached from their offices. Everyone should be outraged at this abuse of power. This is even worse than the abuse of power by the Republicans in SC.

                                                                                                  There are a whole list of protests already being planned. There is a big protest by the scientific community coming up. There is a April 15th protest planned to demand Trump release his tax returns. That's just 2 well known ones but there are a lot of other groups also planning stuff. You are looking at a 60's era mass protests..
