...are surprised at the rapid fall of Iraqi military forces. It is being reported that on the street interviews of Arabs in different Arab countries are expressing surprise that the Iraqi military forces were defeated in such a short time.

I don't know why they would be suprised by this since the little country of Israel kicked Arab butt a half dozen times, so why would they be suprised that the most powerful military the world has ever known easily kicked Arab butt?

I think they're surprised that there was fuck all resistance in Bagdad, not that they didn't win, or suprise at getting their asses kicked.
Bagdad could have easily been a two week bloodfest.. not a cheery waltz to the capital after taking the airport and softening up the republican guard. I think it's embarrassment that Saddam run away without putting up a fight.

With the amount of oil money iraq has I find that hard to believe.. israeli citizens may be richer on average than the most iraqis but I would think that saddams regime had plenty of cash..

Where are those WMD you ask? Probably well hidden - wouldn't you hide them when the UN and the US have been trying to find them for so long?
