Millennials and Porn...
do they spend on porn? what niches are they into? or porn is more of a "perversion" of ol'dirty baby bummers and X gens...
|
Ha I was banging a 19 year old the other day and told her what I did for a living (she was SO into it!). I showed her some of my sites and told her how I make money. She had a hard time understanding what I was saying at first. "But porn is free, isn't it? It's everywhere. Why would someone pay you for it?"
I then shut her the fuck up by shoving my manhood down her teenage face. |
Millennials spend on porn. Tease them on a platform with your content they can't find anywhere and they pay.
Marketing 101 is teaching the customer that they want/need what YOU have. |
Millennials refers to a generational age group.
Some are flipping burgers and some are just starting out -- they are not buyers of porn. There is a large segment of tech savvy and upwardly mobile Millennials also. They have the means and the money to buy porn when they want to. They may not be interested is old ideas for porn. But they definitely have the money. Top end they are 35 years-old hardly teenagers. |
They'd rather make videos of them and their moms then share. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

I've worked on hookup sites forever and young people are the worst customers. We said this back in 2005. They never buy a membership. Older customers have the money to pay.
You're going to have to have something very unique for them to buy and even then they're going to try to find it for free on tubes before they begrudgingly pay you. And if they do pay they'll cancel right away before it can rebill. |
I'd say that nothing has changed.
Back in 1998 when I was 27 all of my friends would look for free ways to enjoy porn. It could be trading it in BBS'es or finding some kind of deal for VHS tapes where you get 2 videos now for 2¢ plus S&H. Then get billed more later if you don't cancel... Then by 2006 none of my friends would have an issue with paying for porn. Many were telling me of the sites they bought well before 2006. Karups, Lightspeed solo girls, etc. Asked why they shifted to buyers they often said it was a disposable income issue. They also stopped fucking around to get lower electric bills, got the full package of HBO/Showtime, got unlimited texting for a little extra up front, etc. There really is nothing you can do to get young people to part with their money. Think of beer runs. Ever done one? I know I have. Once I got a certain level of income I stopped because the risk/reward dictated I should just pony up for the beer. Why buy porn now? Because it's clear, it's the right thing to do, you have income to waste on it. |

I miss running and going on bulletin boards. Making artwork with an ANSI drawer and downloading zero day from IRC and being elite. |

They'll consume it more than anyone else but they won't pay a dime for it. If you can make money from them it's through secondary sources such as advertising, file locker memberships, etc. As for what they're into the 2 biggest "markets" are: A) They want the girls young and I mean really damn fucking young... In the United States you can film an 18 year old on her birthday and she just happens to look like she's 12 years old. By comparison in Canada a pornographer will be charged with making kiddie porn even if the girl is 30 years old but happens to look like she's 12 years old. B) The GQ gay genre. |
