My favorite character on Game of Thrones is Jaime Lannister does make me a bad person

I can't help it, something about the character, love the guy!

PS. I hate that I was not able to punctuate the thread titled, but it was the exact character limit, so no room for commas or question marks!

bronco67 01-21-2017 07:02 PM

I think it's amazing what they did with his character over the years. Once the layers are peeled back, he went from being a villain to a sympathetic character you actually cheer for now.

VikingMan 01-21-2017 07:03 PM

He became a much nicer person after getting blankety blank off for using the pompous vocabulary word "besmirched". He is a much nicer person now but it is kind of difficult to come back from pushing a little kid out a window.

AmeliaG 01-22-2017 02:10 AM

I like him too.

When people think the Starks are the heroes, I feel Roose Bolton was one of Ned Stark's banner men and it is not like Bolton hid the monstrous things he did under Stark's flag. Bolton's own flag has a fucking flayed man on it.

Jaime's curses are being unusually gifted and skilled and loving someone he is forbidden to love.

It just seems to be totally forgotten! Especially since Bran didn't die

Yeah, hate his wife though!

clickhappy 01-23-2017 03:18 AM

I liked him...until he raped his sister over their dead son's corpse. :eek7
Now I think he's an asshole again

Great character! I wish he'd lasted longer in the show.

In the books, they only have consensual sex. No idea why HBO put the rapey in there.

Daniel BongaCash 01-24-2017 01:13 AM

I like Arya Stark but Jaime is good too :thumbsup

Gotta go with my man Tyrion.

“It’s been a remarkable journey. I pissed off the edge of the Wall, I slept in a sky cell, I fought with the hill tribes. So many adventures. So much to be thankful for.”

oh c'mon that's to obvious, everyone loves Tyrion :1orglaugh
if we could tell there's main character in game of thrones i would say it's him.

PR_Glen 04-05-2017 01:19 PM

GOT basically does this with many of its characters. they start off one way and slowly evolve into something completely different. Tyrion was pretty detestable early on as well but he grows on you. Jaime is an extreme of that based on how he started off in the series.

Ned's disdain for their tactics and practices were outlawed by them for a long time which is precisely the reason they had no problem turning against them in the first place so holding starks accountable for that is ridiculous.

I gotta disagree on that - Tyrion is likeable from the first moment we see him (getting that BJ!).

Fresh Bump

ReggieDurango 05-09-2019 03:16 AM

I hope Jaime wins!

Hawkeye 05-09-2019 07:48 AM

Tywinn Lannister was my favorite character (father of Cersei, Jamie, and the midget).

That guy was a badass and knew how to run things.

Now I'm hoping Cersei wins the whole thing and sends that dragon bitch to her grave.

crockett 05-09-2019 10:40 AM

I like Tyrion Lannister He's a cool fucker and his real life stories are awesome as well.. He is the guy who pulls the entire story together for me..

ReggieDurango 05-12-2019 11:06 PM

I am so SAD! :-(
RIP Jaime

Diomed 05-12-2019 11:41 PM

Dani went full nutter.

What color are her eyes?

Paul Markham 05-13-2019 03:37 AM

Only one week to wait for the last episode, then I can watch them together. So no spoilers.

Following basic TV rules of "If you don't see someone die, then it's possible they're still alive".... I would say it's hazy as to whether or not Jaime (or Cersei) is dead. Sure, the roof fell on them but everything was obscured by smoke and I didn't actually see rocks hit their heads. I'd give it 50/50 for one of them to be alive.

brassmonkey 05-13-2019 05:42 AM

dragon incest bitch die!

TV does have a way of making people seem dead only to find out they aren't. However, in this case it was the entire remains of the castle that fell onto them. They would be so far buried under rubble they could never get out. Not to mention, with just one episode left, I would be very shocked if we see either of them again.

stanis baratheon, syrio forel, elia martell, tyene sand, benjin stark, the blackfish

none of them died on screen.

and none of them are Jamie or Cersei Lannister, as far as cast status goes. Who cares if those third tier characters are killed off screen?

...and there's no question that if Brienne of Tarth is swinging a sword toward your undefended head with intent to keep an oath, then there's a 100% chance you will be dead.

But now I'm sure they're dead, when I consider the perfectly fitting scenario of them dying in each other's arms. It's an ending that makes sense for both of them. I would have liked to have seen an ugly Cersei death where she's screaming for her life as Drogon eats her...but I'm ok with the respectful, poetic death they chose.

I'm not even sure of how I would picture Jamie dying. Now that I think about it, this is the only time I've ever thought about what I would have written as opposed to what I got. If I don't like an ending to a show or a character's death, I try to accept it and see if it makes sense later, not wish it was done differently. I see lot of people criticizing the Arya/Night King thing when it's perfectly plausible for Arya to have the best shot at getting close enough to the Night King to kill him. Who else could do it? It wasn't even like I had to think about it. Before she hit the ground I thought she's the most badass, stealthy killer in the land, so it makes sense.

But all those butthurt manboys felt threatened that Jon Snow didn't do it, so they cried about it.

In the last episode she's going to crawl out through the top of the rubble looking down on her brother's dead squished body then she start feeling the pain of a miscarriage then as she screams in agony she's going to slowly look up and see the dragon and he's going to blow fire on her and as she screams louder he's going to bite her arm off, then a leg, then another arm, then the other leg off, as she continues to scream and being on fire he's going to slowly squish her head in his teeth then bite the head off :1orglaugh
