20 million people are now free

No one will torture these people if they make some joke about Saddam. Children are being released from prisons. 20 million Iraqis are free. Some of you didn't want this day to come, and even worse, some of you STILL wish this day hadn't come. What do you have to say for yourself? More importantly, who's big enough to admit they were wrong?

(and please don't mention the 800 civilian cross fire casualties that caused the freedom of 20 million. Here's a pre-emptive :1orglaugh )

Stop getting casualty numbers from Al Jizzera.

If these people had to rise up and try to defeat Saddaam alone, there would be a lot more than 800 killed. In Basra alone in 91 there was more than that slaughtered when they tried to rise up.

those people are like sheep. They dont give a fuck that they are
'liberated' they just go with the flow.

If Saddam II comes in tomorow and takes control they
are all burning US flags.

Im not convinced.

stocktrader23 04-09-2003 07:18 PM

And stop assuming that people that people who think Bush is a lying ass-monkey are pissed to see Iraqi's free.

Tex Willer 04-09-2003 07:18 PM

"Children are being released from prisons"

lol

also no more gassing his own people

mike503 04-09-2003 07:19 PM

i'm glad supposedly it's over for that regime. however i think there are plenty of people left who don't like us for what we did and will try to dismantle or rise up against whatever government is setup.

What are you insane? Most of these people have had family members or friends tortured by Saddam. *WAKE UP* and do some research about Saddam and his regime.

Also these people aren't like sheep, Iraq is an educated country and they know who has been killing and torturing them for two decades.

Smegma 04-09-2003 07:24 PM

after all, we're the ones that put saddam up there to begin with.

next government we setup can fail again and the people will just have to deal with it

The fact that we helped Saddam fight our enemy Iran before we realized how brutal he was going to become is further proof that we will be more careful this time.

DearAbby 04-09-2003 07:27 PM

Yippie!!! The Iraqi's are FREE!!!! I feel a tear forming in my eye.

HEY ABDUL... WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO NOW?

...I NOW GO TO THE DISNEY LAND!!

Sheep need a shepherd. They are raised like that. It's in their vains. They NEED a Saddam.

You cant put this people in a democracy.. that will turn out to
be a worse crime than what saddam ever did to them.

Now new 'Shepherds' will rise, leading more fragmented groups
and out of the public eye.

Fun.

DearAbby 04-09-2003 07:29 PM

Next will be peace in the Middle East!

TurboTrucker 04-09-2003 07:30 PM

So those people are just mindless animals? Sounds pretty racist.

All of the Miss Universe pageant girls have been demanding world peace for decades now. It is because of their diligence that we shall finally have it at last.

Im not saying they are mindless animals.

I'm saying they were RAISED as mindless animals and,
for their own sake, should be treated that way.

And the 'racist' argument is way too easy, dont you think?

Wow, that is perhaps the worst thing I've heard anyone say during this. Very disgusting.

The only way I could imagine excusing that is if you are just horribly ignorant. Let me recommend a book that will educate you a little on what Saddam's regime was like. Saddam: King of Terror

You ARE an idiot. It's not about Saddam you dumb fuck.

Im sure he's a real meany and you have nightmares of the
guy creeping under your bed at night.

It's about giving people responsibilities they cant handle.

Let me ask you a question. Would you rather have a responsibility you might not be able to handle, or live in terror your whole life?

(let's watch him not answer that question but insult me instead)

The reason FOR the terror was (and will be) because they COULDNT and CANT handle the responsibility.

It's a vicious cycle.

Dont you fucking get that part?

Yes they had an idea but it's a very complex issue and not really the point of this post anyway.

now are you americans going to do the same thing in zimbabwe or is there not enough $$$ in natural resources there for you?

The reason for controlling the oil is to keep prices high. If you're Bush and your money is oil...you don't want low prices. In '91 the same thing happened, and 2000 prices were as low as they were in the late 70's. I was getting gas in Orlando for .74 a gallon at the Speedway.

In about 18 months we'll have the chance to liberate ourselves. Will be do that, or will we just sit back and let them keep at it.
