How do I add an image to a post?
 

I searched and can't figure out how to do it?

Looking to add an image from my computer.

When I click on "insert image" a pop up comes up asking for a URL?

Paste the image (full)URL in the box?

http://12345.jpg[IMG]12345.jpg[/IMG]

I tried it with and without the http://

any other suggestions?

click the photo icon

upload it to imgur.com or similar service first and then try to insert that url

That's what I do - You can also use https://gfy.com/members/windycityxx/albums/ - That is your GFY album - Upload the pic and it gives you the URL and BBCode to include in the post...

Print it out on glossty paper, pop it in an envelope and send it to:

Chatsworth, California 91311 USA

Why does this website make it so difficult, why so many steps in the first place.. So there is no way to just grab an image from my computer and put it up, I have to go through all these other steps?

Actually theres really not many other steps. Just open imgur.com in a tab - Drag your pic onto that page, imgur will give you a code, then copy paste that code to your gfy post.

Because the servers would fill up and explode within hours.

I just did this but it only gives me a link. How do I make the actual picture show up in the thread?

What exactly did you do to be able to make it appear like that?

Imgur recently changed their look. It's now not as easy as it used to be to insert [IMG] code into a thread.
Perhaps it's time to look for an alternative.

Op, what you need to do now is..

Near the logo click upload images.
Insert the photo you wish to upload
Mouse over the uploaded image and it should say copy with a down arrow. Click that arrow and then select "get share links"
Use the BBCODE (FORUMS) code.

Just twiddle your knobs till the pic appears.
