6:55AM - Telemarketers start early
 

This is fucken ridiculous. Allstate auto insurance put me on all kinds of lists. Fuckers.

that's fucked up. I got one at 8:15 this morning and I was pissed. Nothing like hearing the phone ring at the end of the day.... Oh, wait a minute?!

allstate does that to me. i bought apartment insurance for them. so apparently they think they can try to sell me their car program (that rivals AAA) twice a year. one of them was a call on sunday morning at 8am after 9/11, i was thinking jesus, do these people know what just happened and they're content calling me at fuckall in the morning on a weekend?

I got one at 11 last night... New credit card I got and all of a sudden all these fuckers calling me.

you guys answer the phone?

i havent answered the phone without checking caller id in years.

if i dont recognize it, i dont pick it up.

I'm with you... I've got Privacy Directory on my lines and if a call comes in and isn't recognized they're sent to a recording and must say who they're calling from, sales call or not ect.

I've not had a single telemarketer go through the hoops yet! And of course on the cell caller ID is on!

i'm too cheap to get caller ID. i wouldn't need to use it, the only calls i get are from a couple people and then the random telemarketers from verizon (my phone company) allstate (my apartment insurance company) and possibly atnt (my cell phone company)

funny how these fucks aren't happy to have my existing business, they have to try draining all the money possible from me.

Most states have laws regarding telemarketing calls and there are also federal laws. I just got $500 from a telemarketer who called me when I'd put my name on the "Georgia No Call" list AND called with a recorded announcement (also illegal in GA). :thumbsup

i haven't had a land line in years, other than a dedicated fax line. cell phone for everything. so far i've never received a single marketing call.

i pay the $1.25 a month or whatever to have a * by my name in the phone book. surprisingly most people are good about that.

yup, same here. although once I accidentally got a phone call for my roomie, so I literally told em to fuck off, it was my cell they had reached. works beautifully.

Shit. UPS calls every other morning at 6:40- They are saying some bull like I owe them money or something.

I worked at a telemarketing room for like 1 1/2 weeks cause my friend was a ver there, and I didn't know teh area codes by heart, so I woke up a few people on my frist few days:1orglaugh
and when someone has a GOOD answering machine message, # wwas passed along the office, so that person comes home with 47 new calls:1orglaugh
