Hours before Trump tweeted every news show was saying it was going to be reversed because of the optics. Trump had nothing to do with congress backpedaling they were in an emergency session to repeal this morning BEFORE Trump tweeted his "displeasure".

When our government makes a law, it needs to be a single law. A law about banning a certain kind of firearm shouldn't include changes to their ethics committee, something about healthcare, etc etc etc.

Meaning, Trump is saying it's not ok for Congress do do away with an ethics watchdog group, but it's ok for him to have ethics rules changes to benefit himself..
