ROTC is more about education. It's not putting M4's or M16's into hands of kids or teaching them hand to hand combat..

Been doing that since the old Soviet times. Where do you get all those "news"?

P.S. Russians don't give M16's into hands of kids. They have Kalashnikov for that :winkwink: My own father has shown me how to assemble/dissemble AK47 right in the school shooting gallery when I was a 1st grader.

We had a 50 meter shooting gallery in the school's basement. It was used for НВП which was translated as Basic Military Education course (some pics from the old good Soviet school times). Also it was a shelter for the a case of air-raid warning. That was a real fun :)

Every Soviet kid knew it all about the radiation :)

As far as I remember we have studied AK47 (obviously :)))), hand grenades (F1 and RGD-5 systems), anti-personnel mines, the action of toxic substances, the methods of bio-chemical protection and radiation-protection (dosimeters, use of gas masks and protective suits), the military first aid kits and the most basic first aid techniques (tourniquet and tires, resuscitation) etc. That was a standard and mandatory school course just like physics and mathematics.

You are mistaken. They are trained in the use of arms as well as other military disciplines and training.

Boy Scouts = no guns

ROTC = guns

The bigger 10 year olds go into the ROTC , lots of hormone steroids in out meat here in USA makes our kids look older grow bigger faster.

This is not weapon it a model for the assembly and disassembly.

Remember North Korea was on the list to condition the people with? They probably had some sanction or invasion plan for them.
The media was posting every other day about anything happening in North Korea. So for decades they don't report about anything, and all of a sudden almost every day... Doesn't that make you at least question why?
In this same period they made one of those big White House under attack movies, and the terrorists / attackers were.... North Korean.
Conditioning at it's finest.

Then all of a sudden the North Korea "news" stopped. No more North Korean bad guys to be seen in movies. Complete radio silence.

Cause: Attack or demonization plan sidelined or trashed because something else became a priority: The failed mission to overthrow Assad after taking out Gadaffi, making it another war zone for ISIS to thrive.

I also don't understand this silly try of Russia's demonization. We had this since the 20th century and that's not a Putin's invention. The basic military course (НВП/ОБЖ) has always been a mandatory part of the school program. Every man in Russia has to do a military service (like in many EU countries too). It's not a job here like in the USA. It's a duty. So course it's normal when kids learn the basics of military science - it will be useful in future.
