And it's only going to get worse with each passing year as there are more and more famous people.

People tend to die, even if they are celebrities ...

None of them are my family or friends so......i don't go for the big celeb death thing and cry a river.

That's up to that persons own family...

Every few years or so we have a handful of famous people who die close together.

An old person that I consider wise once told me: "Getting old is about watching everyone you thought represented the world around you die."

I think having a fractured childhood has some gifts. One of which is I don't look back with fondness much. I learned very young to be very forward looking. On this year's list only FLorence Henderson affected me the most (which wasn't much), she was an example of a Mom I saw a lot on TV.

You can forget the dead leaves behind you and keep your eyes on the sprouts growing in front of you. :1orglaugh

You know when GFYers are gettin' old - they sit around reading the obits and marveling at the number of dead people from their generation.

Not necessarily sayin' it's a bad thing - just the way it naturally goes. We all like a little affirmation that at least we're still on the right side of the sod.
