why would it make a difference if it was in your headers or in a seperate file?

if you have a script that you use on several pages, it's a lot more convienient and economical to use it as an include file as opposed to putting it on each page.

It also helps for those search engines which eat spider food, keeping javaskripts out gives a better chance to grab some relevant content since most javaskripts go into the headers.

hmm doesn't seem to be working, when i put the skript directly in my headers it works but when i try this method it won't do shit

try specifying the script language, and make sure you use the full path:

{skript language="javaskript" src="includes/file.js"}

replace brace brackets with angle brackets, obviously

but it means an extra http connection for the browser, thus slower load time.. not that its gonna be significant though.
